Woodfield House is a gripping short drama thriller that explores the journey of Harper Campbell, a young and ambitious journalist fighting to be heard. Meanwhile, the reclusive and mysterious Lily seeks solace in her TV presence. When their paths finally cross, they uncover surprising parallels in their lives, forging an unlikely connection. This film critiques how the mentally ill are transformed into monsters, challenging stereotypes, and taking you on a hauntingly unforgettable ride.

Say It To Her is a media activism project aimed at taking a stand against everyday, casual misogyny through the use of eye-catching posters and stickers that take real comments made by men and ask the audience to direct them towards a little girl if they think it is acceptable to say to a woman. The goal is that seeing these shocking statements written next to the depiction of a young girl will shock the viewer and raise awareness of how normalised sexist behaviour has become in society. I created this project in my final year of university and was awarded a First. I used Adobe Photoshop and Illustrate as well as the app Procreate.
Podcasting: Two Girls One Gay and Ben
In March 2019 I started a podcast with my friends Holly, Ben and Ryan. Our first two episodes are focused on Rupaul's Drag Race in which we recap the episodes and talk about recent news in the drag community. We also decided to branch out and discuss other topics in our later episodes, with the focus being comedy and entertainment.
I decided to be the editor as I have the most experience due to my Radio Production module and I also wanted to improve my skills with Adobe Audition.

Vain Magazine
For my Collaborative Project module we were given the task to create a media product based on the brief "the biggest problem facing my generation is...". In my group we decided to tackle issues including social media, mental health and sex and relationships through the format of an online magazine. We chose the name 'Vain' in order to spread the message about self love and how 'it's ok to be vain'. These topics are really close to my heart and something I am really passionate about seeing in more mainstream media. I am very proud of what we produced and the work I contributed.

Additional Work
During my second year of Sixth Form I produced a music video for Lola by The Kinks (available in video player above). Alongside this I also produced an album poster and CD cover. I used images from the music video as well as additional images I had taken and edited them using Adobe Photoshop. To make sure they looked realistic and professional I conducted a lot of research beforehand and took note of common conventions in album advertising. I received an A for this work and my Media Studies A Level overall.
